About The Conference
The measurable properties and function of the biological systems have allowed for the application of physiological tools in the study of human health, both in laboratory testing involving either human or animal subjects as well as in healthcare settings. Many of these tools provide simple procedures for screening and tracking human health and disease progression. Indeed, these tools have provided the much-required assistance for clinicians and medical scientists dealing with human health.
But the advance in molecular medicine, especially in the last decades, have taken our understanding of human health as well as disease development and progression to a whole new level. We are now able to zoom into the organelles functioning at the cellular level – tracking disease progression before it even manifests itself at the physiological level. The genetic and molecular revolution in molecular medicine has shone lights on parts we never thought possible and opened up new areas to discover. This development is an exciting period in medical research as we are now able to monitor human health from the surface level up to the molecular level – peeping into the goings-on inside the microscopic organelles inside the cells of the human body. By monitoring physiological activities from the cellular level, we are now able to deal with the risk of diseases and prevent them from happening.
Therefore, the organization of this “1st International Conference on Integrative Physiology and Molecular Medicine” is to allow the gathering of medical scientists, molecular and physiological specialists, clinical specialists, academicians, and public health specialists to share their knowledge and discoveries over the years. It is hoped that such a gathering will help them in forming a link between their findings; thus, providing an international networking and opportunities for collaborations worldwide. With the theme. “Health and disease: the integration of physiological instruments and molecular techniques”, this conference shall bring together specialists in all fields of medicine and health research to share and discuss recent advances in their fields with an emphasis on integrative and system-based approaches.
